If you would like to volunteer at Pershing, then you must complete the short training course with HISD.
Please make sure that you complete the short training soon because the verification process can take some time.

The Houston Independent School District has updated its Ready, Set, Go! Back to School Plan and strengthened its protocols to ensure in-person experiences are as safe as possible during the 2021-2022 school year.

Masks covering both the nose and mouth are required for all individuals inside all HISD schools, buildings, and buses regardless of vaccination status. Their use is encouraged outdoors.

NORMAL SCHOOL STORE HOURS (beginning Thursday, 8/26)
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:00am-8:30am
Tuesday, Thursday 11:15am-1:15pm
Come shop for uniforms, school supplies, locks, and school spirit items.
Exchanges on clean and unwashed items will only be accepted until 8/27/2021.
No cash refunds will be given.

• School Day : 8:30 am – 4:00 pm ; All students need to be picked up by 4:15 unless they are with a teacher or coach.
• Drop off and Pick up: Drop off and Pick up are in the carpool line on Bluebonnet
• Backpacks: Backpacks are allowed. There are no lockers.
• Breakfast: Grab-n-Go breakfast may be picked up in the hallway on the way to 1st class
• School Lunches: School lunches are free to all students. The lines can be long at the beginning of school so you might want to bring your lunch
• School Supplies: Teachers will provide specific supply request during their first class meeting.
• Block Schedule:
Monday = “Panda Day” where you attend all 8 classes
Tuesday and Thursday = “Red Day” where you attend periods 1-4 and Enrichment
Wednesday and Friday = “Grey Day” where you attend Periods 5-8 and Enrichment
If you haven’t already, make sure to sign up for grade level email lists and Facebook groups. It is a great way to keep up with all that your class is doing this school year!
